It's simple: 1 viewer-minute = 1 person watching your stream for 1 minute. If 50 people watch your 1-hour stream, that's 50 × 60 = 3,000 viewer-minutes. The Free plan includes 3,000 VM — that's a full hour-long stream to 50 viewers, every month.
