How The Plugin Behaves

Theme, crawlers, and when you still need a Worker.

Does the plugin change my WordPress theme?

No. Shortcodes and the cart drawer host work on any theme. Lesuto header and footer chrome is off unless you turn on Lesuto store chrome under Lesuto, then Commerce, or add a filter in a must-use plugin.

How do crawlers see product pages?

Shoppers get the Commerce SDK. Matching bots are offered pre-rendered HTML from the Lesuto API during template_redirect. If that body is empty or the renderer fails, WordPress HTML is served instead so crawlers never index a blank page.

Which bots does the plugin prerender?

Search engines and social unfurlers, plus common AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Applebot, and Bytespider. SEO audit tools like Ahrefs are not prerendered. Cloudflare Workers use a narrower search plus social list unless you change them.

Do I still need a Cloudflare Worker?

Not if the plugin is connected. The host hook already forwards matching bots. If Cloudflare already sends bots to the Render Engine, do not also enable Apache proxy on the origin.
